"tomorrow the weather will be cloudy during the morning with strong winds and snow showers during the afternoon..." - the weather forecast for tomorrow heard in the radio at the grocery store in Tignes les Brevieres...
Well this was fast… Although I knew I had planed this trip, I almost didn't feel it coming… It's always good to be back to the mountains despite the emotional contradiction of being in a place that results from man dominating nature…
Severe weather conditions reduce visibility and almost make us forget that there are man made conveniences around us… Looks fair… But probably not even close from being in the hands of nature...

"you will suffer long and hard"... I'm driving to one of my usual photo spots while wondering how many times I've head this since signing in for the transportugal.
Probably as many times as I heard "take it easy and rest"... Every person that did it before has a special advice for enduring such an ammount of effort ranging from traininng practices, to gear, hydration, food, rest, you name it...
I know that the best preparation will probably get me to the end with the least amount of suffering, I also know that sooner or later I'll get to a point when by body will tell me that it's time to stop...
From this moment on I'll have to rely on my will to reach the end... This is why I feel I have to concentrate on images in order to detract my mind from effort and distance figures... I'm not sure this will work, but who knows... This may get to be my special advice for the generations to come...
